2016 Wine Tours
New York, Friends & Photos

Today was a wet day.  A wonderful day, but very wet.  I was optimistic the rain would blow over this morning and leave us with cloudy skies, but it just kept raining.  The clouds hung low today in the valley, settling in around 900 feet.  It almost felt like heavy fog with limited visibility.  Very interesting.  The tour today included a lovely couple from New York and two friends who made the day even more special, including Kathryn Elsesser, the amazing photographer whose images have graced the cover of Oregon Wine Press many times.  We had fun today "getting personal about wine" and making new friends.  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Family & Friends

It was a very good day.....good weather, good food, good wine and some good new friends.  Several cases of wine are heading to CA on Monday so these fine folks can remember this day for awhile. Harvest has begun and it was great to see (and eat) the various Pinot grapes that make the valley so wonderful.  I look forward to our next tour in the Gorge!  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

The girls. Oh, the girls!

Good friends and neighbors who found me from an auction at Team Cole.  It was a beautiful day with these lovely ladies along with good wine and lots of laughs.  Our tour today allowed us to see some freshly picked Pinot Noir as well as the beautiful color changes that occur on a new oak barrel from the wine.  We also tasted Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Muscat from the cluster.  Yummy.  I look forward to doing it again with you girls soon. Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Daddy, Daughter, New York and Friends

Today reminded me how much my tours are family-friendly.  What better way to bond with family and friends than with wine!  It was also great to hear a New York accent all day too.  If you enjoy wine and want to learn more about the viticulture and viniculture then you've come to the right place.  Another great day.  A little cool this morning with light rain which blew off by early afternoon sunshine and beautiful white puffy clouds. Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Texas is Alive!

Texas is alive in Portland with these fiery gals.  They were wonderful...great smiles along with that true Texas spirit.  Oh, and the accents....loved it.  Best friends for 40 years!  One of them has a daughter getting married soon at a winery in Dundee Hills so this was her chance to take some "mommy me time".  It was an honor to introduce them to the entire Willamette Valley region and how their venue choice is perfect.  My job is cool!  I teach others about wine, I get to share my "backyard" and I introduce people to my friends who produce this amazing fermented fruit.  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Old and New Friends

Hello September!  We kicked it off with nine friends and a lovely couple visiting from North Carolina. The rain held off and we stayed dry.  The day was filled with a lovely lunch outside and later watching the production process first hand since harvest has begun. Harvest also gave us a chance to try some fresh pressed Pinot Noir juice as well as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes right from the vines.  Amazing positive spirit and energy from everyone today!  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

The Spirit Of Life

Today was a fun day.  After a little confusion in starting our day, everything worked out fine.  A beautiful day, about 85, and just in time as a storm is moving in on Tuesday. Three lovely ladies from South Carolina and a newly married couple on their honeymoon from Philadelphia.  After a Vista Balloon flight this morning, we picked up a few things and headed out to the wine country.  Great group.  Such nice people. Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Friends and Neighbors Forever

They are all neighbors and friends.  Awesome.  I love to see that neighbors still talk to neighbors....that is a community.  We had a nice day and I'm so glad they chose us in the auction for the Children's Relief Nursery earlier this year. Good friends, good wine, nice weather and our owner Dan K. Johnson makes for a great wine tour.  Since harvest just started, we also sampled some fresh Pinot Noir juice from the press. Yummy.  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Taking A Break And Breathing

This was a fun day.  One couple from Minnesota and one from Eugene who joined us after a hot air balloon flight in the morning.  It was a hot day in the valley today......about 97.  With a lovely lunch inside to beat the heat and lots of great wine, we did just fine.  By the end of the day, they were ready for a nap.....perfect.  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.

Traveling Sisters

It was so good to hear a Southern accent again.  Two lovely couples, both sisters, one from North Carolina and one from South Carolina.  The weather was good so we enjoyed a lovely lunch outside.  Below is our favorite photo from this tour.  Your entire album can be found here so you can download or share your memories on social media with just one click.
