2017 Wine Tours
A Documentary on Fun

The sun decided to shine after several days of cold and rainy weather.....it was a beautiful day to be in the wine country.  These four professionals from the entertainment industry had a great time tasting the vintage variations of Pinot Noir as well some amazing views and lovely lunch next to a warm fire.  Today we were reminded how to make wine fun, and how to be the star in your own feature film. POG with Everything

When friends are the family you choose, deciphering the familiar connections in this tight-knit group of ladies is a hoot. After humoring me with a silly photo shoot and "horse face” moments just for pictures, we summed up today’s adventure with a nod to the Millennium and a toast to all combinations of mimosas.  Click the collage below for the photo album. Sparkling Besties

These lovely ladies believe bubbles are the best way to start and end a wine tour, and I wholeheartedly agree. A heavy fog hung over most of the valley to start our day, but the exuberance of two longtime friends meeting up to experience the Oregon wine country brightened every stop we made. They made some outstanding wine choices (Pommard original planting Pinot and ROCO bubbles, yes!!), sampled fresh pressed Oregon olive oil, and nailed pretty amazing aromas without any power of suggestion. Great wine, great friends, and great memories.  Click the collage below for the photo album. The album will also allow you to easily download or share your memories with family and friends.

Rainy Turkey Tidings

When one family goes one way and another family goes another way, what do you do?  Travel to Portland and drink wine, of course!  Plenty of fun times today as the tasting rooms geared up for the holiday weekend with expanded flights and charcuterie platters available.  Click the collage below for the photo album. Cheers to wine and friendship!
"Thanks for making us learn something today!” These are words we love to hear. Celebrating each other’s birthday is a tried and true tradition for these friends for more than 20 years!  We can appreciate that each celebration has included wine and we were thrilled to be a part of this birthday celebration. So proud of them for being up for an adventurous wine excursion and for conquering "the wall,” identifying their own amazing turkey day wines, and blowing past preconceived notions to find wines and experiences they loved!  Click the collage below for the photo album. Pre-Game Wine Time

The pre-gaming for a bachelorette weekend has never been so much fun! We needed a bumper sticker that said, “this van stops for rainbows.” It was worth it, to find that the bright rainbows around every corner ended squarely in vineyards of golden leaves. What a gorgeous fall day to be out tasting wines! On our tours, we aim to make learning about wine fun. We love curious travelers like these ladies! They actually sprinkled in fun facts for me to learn, too. They will go home to pair their new wines, make bacon wrapped dates, discover light, medium and dark extract, and maybe…they will drink vodka out of water bottles. I will be using an ellipsis more often. Win-win!  Click the collage below for the photo album. The album will also allow you to easily download or share your memories with family and friends.

Did someone say Chardonnay?

If you take the gravel road past the dog, you will find one of the most spectacular days the Willamette Valley has to offer. Golden leaves were still hanging on the vines while warm sunshine filtered through the clouds. Sometimes things just come together perfectly! It’s not every day that you meet a professional swimmer turned winemaker, get some seriously awesome restaurant recommendations, and break down the walls of Chardonnay avoidance.  Maybe it’s not the fruitcake of wine after all...with this group it was all that and orange wine!  Delicious. The Spice(s) of Life

Like discovering new adventures, and for these two, surprise birthday-adventures, pinot noir clones are the spice of life! Fun facts abound, we found a good way to remember why clones are important: if you only had salt and pepper in your spice rack, you might get bored and need something more. Cheers to always trying a new spice!  Click the collage below for the photo album. The album will also allow you to easily download or share your memories with family and friends.

Somethin' About Gewurztraminer

A glorious day to slow down, sip on some wine, and let the wind carry the hustle and bustle of the city away from you. It was a day of rehashing old memories of the wine classes of yore and revisiting old favorites in new styles.  Click the collage below for the photo album. Blowing in the Wine

Fall is such a magnificent time in the Valley.  Now that harvest is complete everything begins to slow down, although Mother Nature is still very hard at work and provided us with some beautiful vistas and a very strong gust of wind today.  Click the collage below for the photo album. The album will also allow you to easily download or share your memories with family and friends.
